Paddle Penrith

25 years after the Sydney Olympic Games, Penrith Whitewater Stadium will again host the world’s best paddlers for the 2025 Canoe Slalom World Championships.

As we prepare to welcome the world to Penrith, find out more about the sport, our world class venue and everything happening as we count down to the opening ceremony in October 2025.

The Venue

The world class Penrith Whitewater Stadium will host the 2025 ICF Canoe Slalom World Championships. Built for the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, Penrith Whitewater Stadium is still regarded as one of the premier international whitewater facilities. Nestled on the Nepean River, it will be the second time Penrith has hosted the World Championships, the first being in 2005.
